A Metáfora no Dia a Dia - Metaphor in Everyday Life

A metáfora não está presente apenas na literatura. Ao contrário, ela faz parte da linguagem diária e é usada em várias situações comunicativas. O equipamento mostrado na foto, usado para erguer veículos para trocar pneus, por exemplo, é conhecido como "macaco jacaré" na língua portuguesa. O povo, movido pelo imaginário, associou a forma alongada do equipamento ao formato do corpo de um jacaré.
A comunicação é surpreendente! não é mesmo?

Metaphor is not only present in literature. On the contrary, it is part of the everyday language and is used in several communicative situations. The equipment showed on the shot, used for lifting cars to replace tires, for instance, is known as "macaco jacaré" in Portuguese language. The people, based on inventiveness, has associated the equipment extended form to the shape of an alligator.
Communication is really amazing! isn't it?

The happy end


John is an engineer and Sue is his fiancee. She is a teacher. They will buy a new apartment because they will marry soon. The buiding is near a beach. They are very happy. They will move on july.
